An Absorption Tower (also known as a Scrubber Tower, Gas Absorber, or Packed Absorber) is a vertical process equipment used to remove unwanted gases, vapors, or pollutants from industrial exhaust streams by bringing them into contact with a liquid absorbent. The gas flows through the tower while the absorbing liquid flows in the opposite direction, allowing efficient mass transfer and removal of contaminants.
